Run for Your Life!

Ambleside Marafun – Sunday 10th October 2010
Why not be a part of the first RELAY MARATHON in the South Lakes!! This new event is taking place in Ambleside, in October, and will be an opportunity for you/your members/your staff/colleagues etc to raise money for charity – and have lots of fun at the same time!
The Ambleside Marafun is unique – a marathon distance event for teams of five people – men, women or mixed – where each team member runs one lap of 5.2 miles, through stunning Lake District Scenery. The route starts in Rothay Park, and runs above and alongside Rydal Water; there’s some tarmac and some off-road - and lots of breathtaking views!
We’re raising money for The British Heart Foundation and The Westmorland General Hospital Cancer Unit Appeal. We want to help the BHF beat heart disease and the WGH provide local care for cancer sufferers – and we want you to help us too!
If you’re a keen runner you’ll be eager to take part in this exciting event – if you’re new to running, or haven’t started yet – this is a marvellous opportunity to get fit and to have fun with your friends.
Check out the route on www.amblesidemarafun.org.uk where you’ll find more details and an entry form. Don’t delay – entries are limited to 100 teams, so apply early!
